Yesterday in library the second grade learned about squirrels. We read a very interesting nonfiction book about them and learned all the cool things that squirrels do. The kids all got an acorn to remind them of our story.

Last week in the library the second graders made Heidi a stick insect from the book Twig by Aura Parker. Heidi blends in at bug school but wants to stand out so her classmates help her by knitting her a beautiful scarf. Ask your second grader about this amazing story of friendship.
