Monday night several students were inducted into the National Honor Society (NHS). NHS is based on 4 pillars; SCHOLARSHIP, SERVICE, LEADERSHIP AND CHARACTER. They joined several students who were inducted last year. Congratulations to these fine students who have been selected for this honor.
9th Graders worked to Escape! and find evidence against a Mr. Edgar Allan Poe for the murder of the old man with the vulture eye!
In order to get ready for Halloween fun, the Theatre Students worked on bruises in class! Be on the lookout for more Halloween fun!

Tuesday night the VB team will go to Oskaloosa. The JV team will start play at 5:30 in a 3 of 5 match. The Varsity will have the second and third matches of varsity play against Jackson Hts and Oskaloosa.

Middle School Girls Basketball season is already underway. The Girls have been working hard and getting better every day. Our first game is Monday October 18 @ 4:30 in Nortonville. Plan to come watch this fun group.

We have a lot going on in the high school library, and have had a lot of students visit. The fall maker station is up and going, this month’s project is leaf zentangle. The cold case mystery has also started so far there are four teams trying to solve the case.

In all of my classes, one of my major goals is for the students to be active. Being “active” is a life goal, and being active supports both physical and mental well-being. Today, my Freshman PE class played cornhole. You have probably played this game at a party, so good for you “staying active”! One of the sets was made as a Senior Product (thanks to Trenton F. ’21).
