Mrs. Moore’s Kindergarten class invited preschool to come buddy read. Preschool got to choose a stuffed animal to hold.
Kindergarten classes enjoyed a field trip in Topeka at the Discovery Center, Westridge Mall for sack lunch, followed with a trip to the zoo.. The theme was learning about characteristics of dinosaurs.

More Blackout Poetry made my the Sophomore class!
The Sophomore English classes worked on Blackout Poetry for National Poetry Month. They did a fantastic job, and they had fun too! Nice job, Sophomores!
Yearbook are now for sale at the high school! Until April 20, classic yearbooks are $25, and personalized yearbooks are $29 if you would like your name stamped on the cover. After April 20, the classic will cost $29, and there will not be the personalized, name stamping option.

It's an exciting week at JCNHS. Track meets start today. Friday the seniors will be presenting their SENIOR PROJECT PRESENTATIONS. We end the week the prom red carpet event starting at 7 pm and prom beginning at 8 pm on Saturday.

April is National Poetry Month! We are celebrating here in the high school library by creating blackout poetry to decorate the “poet-tree” with. On Monday, April 4th “readin’ with my Peeps” starts. We will read a book written in prose, Three Things I Know are True.
FBLA at State Leadership Conference
The phones at the schools and district office are not working this morning in case you are trying to telephone them. We have a call in to the company and they will hopefully be back in working order soon.

I enjoyed watching Ryan Feldkamp, sr., play in the Highland All Star Game on Sunday. He played very well with 19 points and 6 rebounds in the game. Congrats!
The seniors finished listening to Pretend She’s Here, our read aloud book, today. We celebrated with chips and salsa and brownies. On April 4th we will start another book Three Things I Know are True by Betty Culley, a book written in prose for National Poetry Month.
The Juniors and Seniors were all invited to the prom by this year’s prom servers. It will be a “roaring” good time!
