JCNHS Scholars Bowl team competed at the Horton meet on Thursday. Both the JV and Varsity teams went on to finals! The Varsity team was able to pull off a 3rd place win. Congratulations to the whole scholars bowl team for making it through a busy week. The next meet takes place at Valley Falls on 11/28.

Those of you who ordered a ghost plushie and did not receive one, please be patient! you will be getting something before Christmas Break! I have decided that I will be making little snowman Christmas Ornaments for your child(ren) to have a special memory to keep on your family trees year in and year out! So, those will be delivered before students go on Christmas Break! Thank you again for your patience. And, as always, thank you for supporting the JCN Theatre Department.

The JCNHS Scholars Bowl team competed at the Jeff West meet last night. They played against many larger schools outside of our league, but the varsity come out of competition at 4th place and the JV earned a 3rd place finish. It was a Halloween to remember!



Halloween isn't just for kids-some of the high school teachers dressed up too!


The JCN Charger Cross Country Team finished up their season this past Saturday in Wamego at the State Cross Country Championships. Qualifiers for state were Isaac Kane (18th), Lucas Meredith (20th), Max Kane (73rd), Scotty Roloff (84th), Riley Burk (91st), Lane Edmonds (93rd), Isaac Laird (95th), Logan Johnson (alternate), and Bailey Jenkins (50th). All those who qualified competed very well on one of the toughest courses and the best competition they have had all year, with the boys placing 9th overall, and Isaac Kane and Lucas Meredith earning a medal apiece. A thank you to all those who supported our athletes all season, making all of their success possible.

UPDATE ON THE HALLOWEEN PARADE!
Due to the low temperatures that are expected tomorrow morning, we are going to rearrange our parade schedule.
8:30- K-5- Leave for the Nortonville nursing home. Parade through nursing home, get back on the bus.
9:00- PreK-5 students parade through the EMS gym. (All businesses need to be set up in the gym by 8:55)
9:30- K-2 students load the bus to go to the Winchester nursing home. Parade through nursing home/ hospital, get back on the bus.
10:00— K-2 students parade through the commons area of the high school. (All businesses need to be set up by 9:55)
Load the bus to head back to the EMS after parading through the high school.
