HS art students recently learned about the tantamounter project, which is a fun activity that began with a group of artists in New York in 2005. Students were tasked to borrow an object from other teachers and staff in the building and had to recreate that object using art supplies. Once finished, students returned the objects along with the artwork. They did a great job using the resources they had! Check out some of artwork that came out of this project!
On Saturday, February 15, the JCNHS Scholars Bowl team competed at the 2A State meet in Moundridge. They were placed in a challenging pool full of private schools and frequent state attendees. They unfortunately did not advance from preliminaries with a record of 2-3, but 2 of those losses were only by a single question.

Th high school basketball games originally scheduled for Tuesday 2/18 will now be played tomorrow, Monday 2/17. The Junior class is in charge of concessions. We need more students and/or their parents to work. This is Parents Night so we will be busy.
Due to potential weather on Tuesday, Feb 18th we have decided to move the HS girls and boys JV and Varsity basketball games to Monday, Feb 17th with a start time at 4pm. This will still be our Senior Night for basketball and band. The ceremony will take place between the boys' and girls' varsity games. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
