EMS SPIRIT WEEK!!

3rd grade is working on a unit on Force and Motion in science. Mrs. Berry's class had fun performing an experiment that proves Newton's first law of motion. An object at rest stays at rest unless a force acts on it.

Sunflower art made by Mrs. Brickell's kindergarten students.

Deal or No Deal? 6th graders prepare for their upcoming history test with an exciting review game. The prizes they could earn ranged from candy to extra credit on their test. Not to mention the added bonus of applying the knowledge from the chapter after studying their chapter study tools.

Third grade has been busy learning about force and motion. The students were able to do the first of several hands-on activities to see Newton’s Laws in action. They were pleasantly surprised at the results of the force that a rubber band has on a marble.

On Saturday, the high school cross country team traveled to Topeka for the Joe Schrag Invite. We were far and away the smallest school there, but that didn't stop them from competing well. Individual medal winners for the girls were Jaiden Coan (20th), Rowan Robey (9th), and Maddie Gerety (8th). On the boys side, we had Caliber Beecham (19th), Mathias Domann (17th), Scotty Roloff (15th), Judah Borg (12th), Max Kane (6th), and Lucas Meredith winning the entire race. The girls placed 3rd as a team, and the boys team won the meet overall. Congratulations to all our runners, and thank you to all those who made it out to watch them compete, the athletes and coaches always appreciate any support.
