This week throughout our nation, we celebrate Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. And, what a year to celebrate! Our teachers and staff opened the buildings, buses, lunchrooms, offices, etc. back in August not sure what was ahead. Thanks to hard work and support from families and our JCN community the year has gone quite well, considering the stresses of COVID. Please help me in THANKING the Jefferson County North teachers for making learning a priority for 2020-21! Also, please recognize the many other positions that make teaching possible including: para-professionals and support staff, drivers, cooks, maintenance/custodians, our school nurse, secretaries, principals and Board of Education. This year, TEACHING and LEARNING helped us move forward despite difficulties! Thank you JCN Teachers and Staff! You've done amazingly!

We have a positive case of COVID in our elementary school. The district is closely working with the health department and contact tracing is currently underway. We have contacted families of any student possibly exposed and needing to remain home while health officials finalize their investigation. Please be aware numbers in the county have slightly increased in the past few days. I encourage you to be watching for symptoms. As usual, please keep your child home and contact your health care provider or our health department if symptoms occur.
Thank you, once again, for your amazing support of our students during this pandemic. Due to our collective efforts, we have successfully had students in school three quarters. Keep up the great work through the end of the year.
