The middle school students helped with putting candy in the eggs for the Kindergarten students. They also helped me "hide" the eggs outside!



Congratulations to Clara Johnson for winning the pin design contest at the FBLA State Leadership Conference! Clara's design will represent the state of Kansas at the National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, where attendees will be able to trade the pins.


The Middle School Theatre meeting tonight has been canceled. If your student is interested in joining theatre as a middle school student, please email pcrocker@usd339.net for more information.

You're invited to watch the JCNHS PROM RED CARPET EVENT. Come out and see our JCNHS Juniors, Seniors and their dates looking their best for the night. This event is on April 22 from 7:00-8:00 pm. The JCNHS Booster Club will be providing popcorn and water for our spectators. Hope to see you there!!


JCNHS Baseball Spring Kids Camp will be held April 29, 2023. See the attached flyer for information.


In Computer Applications, Hannah Dodd researched and created a presentation on the business culture in France. She also made macaroons!


Incredible fans and crowd at the first ever home baseball/softball games at Mauzey and Cardinal Fields in Nortonville. The Girls won their first 2 varsity games and the boys got their first varsity win. ⚾️GO CHARGERS⚾️


State Powerlifting Continued - Those that placed in top three;Isaac Kane-state champion and Lightweight Lifter of The Meet, Brayden Williams-state champion, Kaydee Bertels-state champion, Jacob Carlson-2nd, Cameron Seever-2nd, Katelyn Schmalz-3rd.



JCN Powerlifting team went to 2A State Powerlifting at Conway Springs on 3/25 and came away with great results. The girls team finished 8th, the boys team finished 3rd and there were many medal winners. Individuals who finished in top three: -Go to next post.





Interested in being involved in JCN Theatre as a Middle Schooler? Well, starting next school year, the JCN Theatre Department is allowing Middle Schoolers to audition for high school shows! All Middle School students grades 6-8 are allowed to join!
There will be a parent/student informational meeting at the high school on Wednesday, April 5th at 6:00 P.M in the gym. The meeting will last about 30 minutes! Please contact pcrocker@usd339.net with questions or concerns! Thank you, and we hope to see you there!

8th grader, Laynie Tate, represented Jefferson County at the Kansas State Spelling Bee in Wichita last weekend where she tied for 7th place.

Calendar Change: Monday, April 3, HS SB/BB vs. Horton will be @ JCN not Horton. Games will start at 4:30 p.m.

Join JCN Softball and Baseball for their first home games against Valley Falls on Thursday, March 30th. Games will be held at Cardinal and Mauzey Fields in Nortonville—the first pitch ceremony at 4:25.


Mrs. Berry's third grade visited the library today. We read Olivia, worked on a puzzle and checked out new books.

Congratulations to our JCN THEATER department on putting on an excellent performance Friday and Saturday.
Congrats to our JNC BASEBALL team who played their first games ever in the history of JCN.

7th and 8th grade students will be taking the ELA portion of the KS Assessments on March 27th and March 29th.
6th grade will take the ELA portion of the KS Assessments on March 29th and 30th.
7th and 8th grade students will take the math portion of the KS Assessments on March 30th and 31st.
