Yesterday, the JCN cross country team traveled to McLouth for a meet. Medaling was as follows, Mathias Domann (3rd) in 7th grade boys and JD Cutshall (9th) in 8th grade boys, Logan Johnson (4th in JV), for the varsity girls, Ivy Fujibayashi (15th) and Bailey Jenkins (16th), for the boys varsity race, Lucas Meredith (1st, winning his first cross country race), Isaac Kane (2nd), Lane Edmonds (5th), Max Kane (6th), and Scotty Roloff (10th). The boys team placed 1st overall. Everyone, regardless of winning a medal or not, competed very well, with many PR's being set. A huge thank you to all who came to support our athletes.

These lovely five and six year old students honored National Grandparents Day by making cards for those in residing in nursing homes using color by number worksheets.

The middle school volleyball team is off to a great start. Tonight we travel to Oskaloosa to play C, B, & A team games. JCN and Oskie A teams are both undefeated going into tonight's competition.

Mrs. Moore's class visited the library today we read a book about being kind and helping others.
Students are hard at work investigating the properties of water in Biology!
Last week Biology students created the heir very own "Water Towers". The new record is 52 centimeters tall holding 283 pennies!
Today, the JCN Middle School Cross Country team traveled to Jackson Heights for a meet. While there were no medal winners on the girls side, all three young ladies set new PRs. On the boys side, Tucker Edmonds placed 4th and Jesse Noll took 7th in the 8th grade, while Mathias Domann placed 3rd in the 7th grade. The boys ended up placing first as a team as well. Thank you to all those who support our young athletes.
It's that spooky time of year again! The JCN Theatre department is selling Boo Grams again this year! However, things are a little different! The Department decided that we should give you some choices to your Boo Grams; including little crocheted ghost plushies! If you are wanting to order a ghost plushie, you need to submit your order forms and payment by September 29th in order to guarantee delivery on October 31st. Saturday, the JCN Middle School Cross Country team ran at Hummer Sports Complex in Topeka. The team took 9 runners, 8 of whom medaled, with the 9th just narrowly missing out on hardware. Every one of them ran incredibly well, setting huge PRs.
